The couples getting married at San Francisco City Hall Marriage Ceremony Room represent the diversity of the San Francisco Bay Area. To accommodate this, Christen Interiors studied all marriage traditions, including Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Brahma Kumaris, Baha’is, and Pagan. They incorporated the religions’ universal themes of harmony, peace, love, and light into the room’s design. The experience so moved interior designer Stacee Christen that she is now a deputy Marriage Commissioner.
